The workshop covers the basic skills for effective doctor-patient communication; medical advice; treatment recommendations; consultations with so called “difficult patients”; the role of empathetic listening; and the correct way of formulating messages.
COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY
We are offering two types of business workshops: one aimed at managerial teams and the other for sales personnel. The workshops will develop participants’ communication and leadership skills, which will subsequently contribute to steady growth of the organisation thanks to greater effectiveness of the business team. Participants will learn methods of increasing their organisation’s business effectiveness by utilising their own attitudes and actions. The workshops feature business simulations using the AoV method, which permit individual or team management of a virtual firm and enable the acquisition and development of practical skills required for building effective organisations.
The workshop includes topics such as the identification and development of physician’s leadership style; development of relationships with patients, patients’ families and hospital staff; goal achievement using examples of specific treatments.
This is a Patient Empowerment workshop aiming at increasing partnership in the doctor-patient relationship. It involves training in the areas of effective communication and interaction with the healthcare system.
INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE PHARMACIST AND CLIENT
The amendments to the pharmaceutical law and the law on the profession of pharmacy pose new challenges to pharmacists. Effective pharmaceutical care is contingent upon effective communication between the pharmacist and client.
Interactive workshop on leadership and communication using the Horse-Assisted Education method
This workshop is a combination of traditional coaching methods and the experience of authentic communication during interaction with horses. This is an innovative method of personal development, where learning occurs in a direct relationship, here and now, creating perfect conditions for a realistic test of leadership and communication skills. These workshops take place in horse riding centres all over Poland and are run in groups of 8 participants over one or two days, depending on need. The practical part of the workshops involves “ground work” with horses, while the theoretical part includes the discussion of participant experiences in the presence of qualified coaches.
